Sharon Byers is an award-winning executive who has held a variety of C-suite positions across her career, earning recognition as one of the most influential leaders in sports, marketing, and media. Her honors include being named among the 50 Most Important People in Sports and the #1 Most Influential Woman in Sports by Sports Illustrated; Marketer of the Year and one of the Top 100 Women in Media by Cynopsis Sports Media; Woman of the Year by the nationally recognized WISE (Women in Sports and Events) organization; and one of the 50 Most Powerful People in Sports and Sports Industry Game Changers by Sports Business Journal. She has also been recognized with the OnCon Marketing Icon Award and named among the Top 50 Marketing Executives. Currently, Sharon serves as CEO of Kind Marketing, leading consulting engagements across top sports and entertainment ventures, most recently partnering with Ryan Reynolds’ exclusive agency, Maximum Effort, where she served as the lead executive for the Lead From Behind campaign powered by the Colorectal Cancer. Alliance. Her past executive experience includes serving as CEO of Ongev, a startup focused on patient data management, and as Chief Development, Marketing, and Communications Officer at the American Cancer Society, where she oversaw more than $1 billion in revenue, brand strategy, operational marketing, and consumer engagement across owned, earned, and purchased media. Earlier in her career, Sharon held senior leadership roles at The Coca-Cola Company as Senior Vice President of Sports, Entertainment, and Community Marketing Partnerships for North America, where she managed more than 500 strategic partnerships—including global properties such as the Olympics, NCAA, NBA, and NASCAR—and cultivated relationships with icons like LeBron James, Jennifer Aniston, and Taylor Swift.
